Guess who has clawed deep into another fictional read Writing with Sprinkle Community?
You already know it was me!
Had the honor of ARC reading the second book in The Forest Exiles series, Werecats Convergent by Mark J. Engels. A new favorite author is on the rise.
Going Forward!
At the start of the book, immediately was I intrigued by the situation that fans of the previous book will be shouting about.
I know that I was.
Once that excellent piece of interest is dropped, the next chapter directs us to see Pawly in all her capability helping innocent people in the only way she can.
The book has many flashback moments that fill in the blank spaces of what Dory, Alex, and Barry were doing during the pre-hockey events of the previous book. I think it added a little context regarding their point of view.
Warning:
Werecats Convergence displays violence and profanity within their trigger warnings. There is much. I also want to make sure that you are aware the characters have aged from the previous book, so they are currently adults.
In regards to Werecats Convergence, it held my attention throughout as easily as the first book. It's a compelling sequel that brings you along with the family as they attempt to remain safe whilst their affliction complicates their lives. Their alliances as well.
