Crazy World 2022

Can this world not realize how often we keep hurting and getting hurt by one another?

So, I wasn't sure that I wanted to talk about it on my writing blog or not but some things just need to be discussed.

Time to dim the lights on things a bit.

Negativity here we come.

This year has been terrible. Utterly terrible.

There's no way to sugarcoat it. We've gone backwards. All the bigots, racists, sexists, ablests, and other awful folk are showing up. Some out of the woodwork. Turns out there's more of them left than we realized. Or maybe some of us have been living in a bubble. Sheltered lives don’t help anyone. Our mental health may temporarily be at peace but once we see truth released, it's hard to put the innocent pieces of our frail minds back together.

Just these past few years alone have brought forth so much awful behavior.

Pandemic showed us that we're not very kind to our eldest community members in this country. Other countries treat elderly better than we do. People were sadly beating down the elderly for toilet paper. It also showed that some were so concerned about staying in their lives they didn't want to take proper health precautions even to help those around them. Some even refused to believe it was real even though a ton of people were dying.

Recent events about abortion have made it known that women's personal and health matters are being turned into a political matter. Why?! Politics need to stay out of people's health. They can't honestly expect women to go through not viable pregnancies and give birth to stillborn. Or children and women assaulted to be forced to have that choice. Having a choice doesn't mean anti-life. It means making the best decision for yourself and for potential babies.

Women who choose no kids are probably aware that they require what they can't give physically and mentally. Women might choose not to have any more because they can only afford a certain amount or don't have heath to carry anymore. Some become pregnant too soon due to being assaulted.

Bringing children into the world is a huge decision to make. Can you afford it? Food, clothes, education, mental strain, protect it. It's also a thing to consider the wellbeing of the child itself.

Bringing me into another topic.

This world is dangerous.

A war is taking place in another country overseas. Ukraine and Russia. Those innocent children can't go home or live in peace. Children and adults gone. needlessly killed because of one man's want for power. Then, our country like many others want to help out. We want to support people in this time. Our president was on the plane ride back only to hear about our schools not being safe for babies. They were in elementary school. So, basically babies. Their lives were stolen. With all this war and school shootings, it's not a safe environment for children.

Not only schools. Hospitals and 4th of July celebrations. Not safe either.

Also, any racist law enforcement can threaten people in their vehicles. Because they are automatically suspicious.

Women are paid less than men.

That's not even all of it.

Do you understand what we're saying here?

Do you understand why it's a scary world?

Help one another. Let other people live. Don't let bias become reality. Don't solve issues with violence. Seek help for yourself if necessary.
