If you knew

If we knew more about one another, not just in writing communities but in other places we'd be so united in common interests that having harmful behaviors and thoughts wouldn't register.

Consistently there's gatekeepers and trolls that try to infect the world with hate or pass judgment. You're told you can't like something unless you know xyz about it. You can't be something unless you do X. Pass judgment on those who share common interests and you're denying them and yourself a chance to connect. Trolls just hit you with hateful comments to ensue doubt, to rile your anger, or bring sadness.

This hasn't been an issue that's come to myself online but I can't help but notice it loads of places. Loads. I've encountered a gatekeeper in real life though. Yikes. You're not good enough to be what you want because X reason. Ugh!

It doesn't make sense to me.

Be you. Even in the fog, even when surrounded by gatekeepers and trolls. In unkindly kings throwing shade at a gem. It's not their life or story. You're the MC so start knocking away any antagonist in your path.

Has anyone else ever tried to block your path or tell you your own thoughts or want isn't good enough?

Trolls or Gatekeepers?

In person or online?
