Hello, Writing with Sprinkle Community!
If you ever wondered what books exist but aren't getting see as much I've got news for you. I'm starting to review more books for writers and authors so they can get their work into the hands of readers that would enjoy them and might not know about them otherwise.
There's so many fantastic writers getting buried under the masses out there.
This is a trowel.
Not every book is for every individual but there's a book out there for everyone. We all like and dislike different things. We all voice different thoughts. That's perfectly okay.
I can't wait for so many more of these review posts.
The Book
Guess what I got to read this time? Stop! No guessing! I will simply tell you!
It's Fog of War (Gold 1) by Forest Wells (aka another interesting person I found out about throughTwitter). See it definitely could be place for good. People just use it wrong.
This one is a June10th release. It struck me after a sample chapter or two that this scifi novel could potentially be something of a low-key basis of fandom like Startrek or StarWars. Fascinating.
Here's What I Thought
After a slow start, feeling the characters emotions during a routine mission... it got interesting. Not even 66 pages in and already there was much conflict, action,small incidences, and a major event.
Quite favorite were small eerie incidences that built tension within the plot in combination with friendships and the authority line of Gold 1.
Worth also noting is the classically described ships and event of the sort found in scifi novels.
Scenes depicted of space war on a massive level with multitudes of ships was extremely well explained on a level I haven't previously seen.
Something that I personally admire aside from the plot aspects of books is the descriptive writing. It was brilliantly executed opening imagination and imagery throughout the book.
Fog of War was compelling, inventive, and action fueled.
