Hey there and welcome back to Writing with Sprinkle! BH here!
So, life as a writer is far from fabulous as you may or may not know; especially us unpublished wishing upon shooting stars to get noticed types. Okay, so it definitely started off as for myself entirely but I've been writing since I learned how to and now that I'm older I'd love to be published.
Past & Present
When I was about six years old, I started books that were mostly pictures. Sometimes I keep them at home and other times I'd give them to teachers.
When I was in about Middle School, I had already progressed to short stories and started writing novels. Those of which have disappeared already. Lost. Some even forgotten. Looking back I wish I had been able to hold on to them.
In high school I wrote some more. This was at a full length novel type of level. Though sometimes I would start with only a few paragraphs that escalated into a few chapters. After which I would stop for a while.
As an adult I had decided to dive back into it. A story that had escalated and made its way through all three phases. That made it through the youthful years in small pieces. Then I build on it and decided to extend it.
Started to write more things additionally. Other novels that desired attention.
Have scarcely time to give.
This Current Life Of Mine
Where am I now with this?
Certainly not new to writing in itself, currently educating myself on the publishing processes, writing reviews for authors to help spread the word about their masterpieces, & still working my way through typing up all my full manuscripts to the laptop because that's how people want it now.
Though I seldom get time to write, every ounce of time that I do get to do so has been very helpful and moves the needle.
Currently, I am typing up the second POV from my notebookin order to get project Realm out of the notebook and onto the laptop. Hopefully that means it is closer to getting things going with eventual publication.
Though I am not sure how exactly to get this typed up what with all the things that I have to carry around in my daily life, I do know that I won't be giving up.
I've given myself a deadline. By end of August I plan to have the second pov typed up.
Days Yet To Come
Well here's what's upcoming according to my current plan:
▪️Finish typing up project Realm second pov by end of August.
▪️Give a copy to my Stepdad to read as I promised he could read it.
▪️Start on a round of edits while also asking for feedback.
There are many other things aside from writing in my life that will have to take precedence even though I really wish that this were the only thing.
My goals will be accomplished by the end of this year as I plan to place more pressure on it. It is my sincere effort to also work towards more efficient time management.
Thank You
In all things, I'm at least thankful to those supporting me on this path. My writing journey and this era of self discovery for the past few years.
Honestly, I find being myself or discovering my capabilities to be quite a persistent challenge. A challenge that I'm happy to be undergoing for the past two or three years. I find it most wonderful that there are people who have been here where I am. Who have gone through this themselves and decided to encourage me on my own path.
Thank you to...
Those that encourage me & give advice when I ask for it.
Those seeing my journey, both new & old.
Writers allowing me to read their work and discover new books and even new favorites.
Writers who host writing sprints on YouTube and brought me into NaNoWriMo territory. It's helped with encouraging my work and meeting other writers.
