When Getting Going

Hello, Writing with Sprinkle community! By community... I actually mean just the kind strangers that come on here to hear my thoughts.
Today just like any day is a new day. A new date to get writing done. Or to not get writing done because you don't have time. Whether you are writing today or not I just want to say that you are doing an excellent job. Don't think that anybody tells you that often enough. You don't have to be writing everyday in order to be a talented individual or someone who is actually going to be published. I'm sure that lots of people that don't write every day are published already. For those who are living proof, I applaud you.
If you're like me, it's best we take things one step at a time. To get the most accomplished in our WIPs it's best to just find the time to begin with, or make that time before slowly evolving into writing a bit more each time we sit down.
I've been writing for years but I've not written every day. I haven't been published either. That doesn't make me feel like any less of a writer. It's disappointing, sure. If you also don't have a super high word count or write whole chapters in a day, it's okay. It's still being written. You're still doing it. Still getting things onto the page that eventually someone will love.
Hobby writing is good too. I was entirely a hobby writer. I write my stories for me. Write for myself first. Later, I decided that I might want to publish. First thing I thought of was myself as the audience.
My point is that you will get things done in your own time and in your own way. That doesn't mean that you're any less than good or that you're dreams won't come true because it took a bit more time. That statement stands for anything you want to pursue, not just writing.
